*Participation Notes: 

“Rooted & Written Conversations” will include the Keynote speakers reading and discussing their work  in conversation with a selected Writers Grotto member for 40 minutes, followed by a 10 minute Q&A.

The weekend sessions are mandatory in-person, while the weekday sessions and Flash classes are virtual.  The 'In Conversation' keynote craft lectures during the week will be offered both live and virtually.

Fellows are invited to apply with a sample of their best writing in the genre of their choice. More information to follow.

*What courses will be taught during the conference?  

Five genres will be taught in the 7-day class sessions:  FICTION, POETRY, MEMOIR, NON-FICTION/ESSAY/JOURNALISM, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, AND SCREENWRITING.  

The 7-day classes sessions will be offered as in-person courses at The Writers Grotto classes space. The 60-minute virtual Flash Classes that occur on Thursday and Friday, October 31 and November 1, 2024 will offer a wide range of genres in craft.
